چکیده
Osteosarcoma (OS), a malignancy primarily affecting children and adolescents, is the most frequently encountered malignant, non-hematologic, bone tumor. Despite gradual improvement of survival rates, management this disease remains problematic due to challenges such metastasis development, its heterogeneous characteristics, resistance cytostatic drugs. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), partially ionized gas operating at near room temperature, which comprised free carriers, excited or neutral molecules, active radicals capable initiating diverse physical phenomena chemical reactions represent new innovative potential solution in cancer therapy. The aim study was evaluate capacity CAP produced by our custom-build source induce cytotoxic effects HOS cells analyze post-treatment modulations cdk1, tnfα tp53 genes expression. Direct indirect treatments effectiveness on were evaluated MTT assay regulation interest expression carried out RT-qPCR analysis. Cell viability analysis revealed strong effect direct treatment cells, while resulted slight decrease viability. modulates all analyzed genes, both 2- 24-hours post-treatment. In conclusion, have dose-dependent manner up 24 hours Furthermore, induces cell cycle arrest CAP-induced death independent gene.

Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Gene Expression and Methylation of Genes Involved in Colorectal Cancer
Background and purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is ranked as the second most common cancer in men and the third most common cancer in women worldwide. Routine treatments have many side effects and little efficiency. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) on epigenetic changes of some genes involved in CRC progression. Materials and methods: Prolif...
متن کاملCold Atmospheric Plasma in the Treatment of Osteosarcoma
Human osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary malignant bone tumor occurring most commonly in adolescents and young adults. Major improvements in disease-free survival have been achieved by implementing a combination therapy consisting of radical surgical resection of the tumor and systemic multi-agent chemotherapy. However, long-term survival remains poor, so novel targeted therapies to i...

Introduction: The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a threat to global health and the need for finding new methods of antivirus research, in particular against HIV has increased in recent years. In this study, we investigated the ability of the cold atmospheric pressure plasma jet (CAPPJ) using helium to inhibit the replication of HIV virions. Methods: Single cycle replicable HIV (SCR-HIV) ...
متن کاملExpression of Endoderm and Hepatic Specific Genes after in vitro Differentiation of Human Embryonic Stem Cells
Background: Human embryonic stem cells (hESC), which are derived from the inner cell mass of the blastocysts, have been considered to be pluripotent cells. In this study we examine the differentiating potential of hESC into hepatocytes by characterization of the expression of endoderm and liver-specific genes. Methods: hESC were cultivated in suspension to form aggregates, the embryoid bodies. ...
